Roy Williams says he never wanted to retire, talks about frustrations that led to that decision


"Deep down inside, I really never wanted to retire," said Tuesday on the Carolina Insider podcast (Audio). "I wanted to win a championship and croak the next day and let that be it. I just didn’t feel I was the right man for the job, because I didn’t think I was doing as good a job as I’ve done in the past and I’ve had a hard time getting past that." (Tar Heel Tribune)
