UNC quarterback Sam Howell completed 25 of 39 passes for 306 yards and two touchdowns. He also scored the game's first TD on a 23-yard run, but finished with just 8 yards rushing after back-to-back games with more than 100 yards. His chief tormenter was Georgia Tech linebacker Charlie Thomas, who had 2.5 sacks and 4.5 tackles in the backfield. (Associated Press)
