Walk-on Meghan Austin receives scholarship for Lady Tar Heels

She seems a perfect fit, from her Carolina blue eyes to her blue-collar work ethic. After transferring to North Carolina from Lafayette College and making the women’s basketball team as a walk-on last year, was offered a full scholarship to play for the Tar Heels last week. “Meghan is a great person and a great student,” coach said. “She plays hard, practices hard, does all the little things. She represents UNC really well and we felt like she deserved a scholarship.” (Lynchburg News & Advance)
