Jacob Stallings reflects on first full season as Pittsburgh Pirates’ starting catcher


It’s hard to believe this is ’ first full season as a starting catcher. The 31-year-old has taken a long road to reach the majors in his career, and his status as a Gold Glove candidate each of the past two seasons makes it feel like he has been the Pirates backstop for a while. Yet 2021 was Stallings’ first go as a starter for a 162-game slate. (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)
