Marvin Williams promotes X-Box
Posted Jul 28, 2005
Sitting in a leather arm chair on the Microsoft campus, former UNC star Marvin Williams donned a headset and grabbed a game controller. His opponent was somebody with the handle "Maverick12." "It's like I'm going to play a real game," Williams said with a laugh. "I'm getting nervous." Williams was playing Xbox's Game with Fame, which allows video game players the chance to battle, and chat, with celebrities. Williams was online for an hour Wednesday taking on all comers, and there were plenty of people anxious to take on the No. 2 pick in last month's NBA draft.
