Defensive Growth in UNC's Blowout Victory Over Duke

Saturday was an opportunity for UNC to execute efficiently against a rival projected to finish last in the preseason ACC Coastal Division poll. While Phil Longo’s offense left a lot to be desired – UNC averaged 3.6 yards per carry and allowed Sam Howell to be sacked five times – Jay Bateman’s defense was surprising stout against a solid David Cutcliffe offense.
