Transition game: UNC, Duke Basketball enter new eras with talent-laden teams

Turning UNC basketball over to Hubert Davis, who played for Dean Smith and coached under Roy Williams, gives the program the strongest continuity in the nation. UNC’s practice plan has a "thought of the day," a tradition started by Smith. For the first practice, Davis chose, "It’s amazing what can be accomplished when no one cares who gets the credit."
