Tar Heels nab speedy Britt LB

Fayetteville Britt linebacker isn't as tall as many college recruiters would like, but he caught the attention of North Carolina coaches last weekend during a one-day football camp. The Tar Heels offered the 6-foot, 215-pound Flagg a scholarship after he was clocked twice in less than 4.5 seconds in 40 yards. Flagg, who has verbally committed, also recorded a 37-inch vertical jump at the UNC camp. The defensive leader for Britt in 2004, Flagg logged 120 tackles for a club that reached the state 4-A championship game. (Raleigh News & Observer)
