UNC counting on Matt Baker
Posted Jul 25, 2005
Matt Baker could well have the biggest weight on his shoulders as he tries to follow in the footsteps of graduated quarterback Darian Durant, who left UNC with 51 school records. Baker doesn't shy away from the challenge. The question now is whether he has the talent to match Durant's exploits and lead Carolina back to the postseason. "I get that question over and over and honestly I get excited every time I hear it," Baker said. "It's finally my turn. I've been waiting around for four years. I've been working hard for this and I'm trying to have fun with it. I know when the season starts there will be a little more pressure."
