Heels receive commitment from tight end Vince Jacobs
Posted Jul 20, 2005
Providence Day tight end Vince Jacobs, who thinks he will stand out because of his size at North Carolina, has committed to the Tar Heels. Jacobs is 6-foot-7 and 220 pounds with a vertical leap of more than 30 inches. Providence Day coach Keith Flynn said Jacobs saw about three tight ends with his height at Virginia, whose scholarship Jacobs also considered. "His tall body at that position could be unique at UNC," Flynn said.
