John Bunting, Chuck Amato playfully spar at Pigskin Preview
Posted Jul 20, 2005
It's been more than nine months since Chuck Amato's Wolfpack lost to North Carolina 30-24 in one of the most controversial finishes in the storied series, but to Amato, it still seems like yesterday. "It's seven games too late," Amato said Tuesday before 400 howling football fans at the Triangle Pigskin Preview at the Sheraton Imperial. A few feet down the featured table sat UNC coach John Bunting, separated from Amato only by N.C. Central coach Rod Broadway. "It's over," Bunting said between loud laughs from the audience. "It's over according to the record books."
