Tar Heels sign tight end Ed Barham

had a dream and Sunday afternoon the dream became reality when North Carolina offered the 6-foot-4, 230-pound tight end a football scholarship. The senior from Dendron (Va.) Surry got the offer after attending a camp at UNC. He made a verbal commitment immediately. "He is at his dream school," said Ervin Jones, the Surry head coach.
