Rashad McCants' mother discusses her battle with cancer


Brenda Muckelvene went through her ordeal just as she was experiencing the joy of her children's basketball success: son helping lead North Carolina to the NCAA national championship and daughter helping to lead the Asheville High School Cougars to their third consecutive state championship. "We were strong for each other - my kids were unbelievable," she said. "It gave me a different perspective on what's important." (Asheville Citizen-Times)
