UNC men's soccer coach Carlos Somoano entered the 2021 season with the nation's second-highest winning percentage among active head coaches. In the last 13 NCAA Tournaments, UNC leads all NCAA Division I programs in NCAA Tournament wins (26), Sweet 16 appearances (10), quarterfinal appearances (nine) and College Cup berths (seven).
