North Carolina Dodges Early-Season Bullet from Brown

Hubert Davis endured his first true test as North Carolina’s head basketball coach on Friday night as No. 19 North Carolina overcame a six-point deficit to outlast Brown, 94-87, at the Dean E. Smith Center. R.J. Davis took the game over late, knocking down four 3-pointers in the final seven minutes and scoring 14 of UNC’s 16 points in a critical stretch.
