Mature Jason Capel plans to find spot on NBA team
Posted Jul 8, 2005
The Charlotte Bobcats' summer-league roster has a distinct Carolina flavor, and not just because of rookies Raymond Felton and Sean May. Jason Capel, North Carolina Class of 2002, is also among the 16 players who started workouts yesterday in preparation for the team's trip to the Rocky Mountain Revue in Salt Lake City next week. Capel is 25, still chasing the dream of making it to the NBA, and this is part of the process. The hope is to catch someone's eye in a summer-league game, get an invitation to training camp, and then get lucky and become the right guy in the right place at the right time.
