UNC hoops alum Brian Reese takes assistant job at Porter Ridge

Brian Reese, a starter on the Tar Heels' 1993 title team, has taken a position at Porter Ridge High coaching the boys junior varsity basketball team and assisting Mike Helms with the varsity. The Pirate players, who were 6 or younger when Reese last suited up for UNC, are probably more familiar with Sean May and Raymond Felton, the Charlotte Bobcats' 2005 first-round picks. But Helms said he thinks Reese will quickly earn the players' respect.
