Tar Heels, Illini dominate NBA draft
Posted Jun 29, 2005
The NBA draft was a rematch of the NCAA championship. This time, the final score was North Carolina 4, Illinois 2. The combatants in college basketball's title game accounted for six of the top 24 picks in Tuesday's draft, which saw 7-footer Andrew Bogut go first overall to the Milwaukee Bucks. "This is definitely a great moment in my life," said Marvin Williams, who had the go-ahead basket in that game and was taken second by the Atlanta Hawks. "This can definitely match up with that night."
