NC State men's basketball placed on 1-year probation; Gottfried gets one-year show-cause


NC State's men's basketball program was placed on one year of probation and former Wolfpack coach Mark Gottfried was given a one-year show-cause order on Monday, as punishment for a former assistant coach helping facilitate money from Adidas to former player Jr.'s family. The Wolfpack weren't banned from playing in the postseason. (ESPN.com)
