UNC fires Haus from lacrosse post
Posted May 28, 2008
John Haus can appreciate UNC's lacrosse tradition as much as anyone -- he started on UNC's first two national championship teams, which went unbeaten in 1981-82. The failure to return Carolina to that level of excellence cost Haus his job as the head men's lacrosse coach. Just over two weeks after Navy eliminated the Tar Heels in the first round of the NCAA tournament, UNC announced Tuesday that it would not bring back Haus for a ninth season.
