Top Stories of 2021: An Arrest Made in the Murder of Faith Hedgepeth

Just more than nine years after the murder of UNC student Faith Hedgepeth, whose case has long been an unsolved mystery, came a break-through. On September 16, Chapel Hill became the site of a major announcement: a suspect accused of killing Hedgepeth was in custody. Miguel Enrique Salguero-Olivares currently faces first-degree murder charges.
