Dr. Ralph Baric, a scientist at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Gillings School of Global Public Health, has studied coronaviruses for decades. Baric and researchers in his lab helped develop the Moderna vaccine and treatments for COVID-19 like Remdesevir.
