Late-Season Trend: Tar Heels' Poor Starts Cost Them Football Games

In the first two years of Mack Brown's second stint with North Carolina, a hallmark of his teams has been getting off to fast starts. In Brown's first two seasons back at UNC, his teams scored in the first quarter in 21 of 23 games against FBS competition. However, this year's Tar Heels have struggled early in games, particularly over the last three contests.
