‘There Was No Hesitation’: UNC Football Introduces Gene Chizik and Charlton Warren

As soon as Gene Chizik stepped to the microphone for his introductory press conference Thursday (Video), he said two words: “I’m blessed.” The 60-year-old Chizik is now in his second stint with the UNC football program, having served as defensive coordinator under Larry Fedora in 2015 and 2016. Chizik also has worked under coach Mack Brown before.
