Committing to UNC were Darius Powell, a 6-3, 205-pound defensive prospect from Westlake High School in Waldorf, Md., and LeCount Fantroy II, a 5-11, 165-pound cornerback from Ballou High in Washington. Both players attended UNC's summer football camp and impressive performances in the camp sessions. Fantroy and Powell can sign the binding national letter-of-intent in February when the NCAA's football signing period will begin.
