Detroit Lions promote ex-UNC football QB Ben Johnson to offensive coordinator

The Detroit Lions promoted former North Carolina Tar Heels quarterback Ben Johnson to offensive coordinator. Johnson spent the past two seasons coaching tight ends after joining the Lions staff in 2019 as an offensive quality control coach. Johnson played quarterback at UNC from 2004-07. Johnson joined the Tar Heels football program as a walk-on.
