UNC defensive lineman called UNC's disappointing 2021 football season the "best motivator" for improvement in 2022. The opportunity for a better team result was one of many motivations for Vohasek to take advantage of the extra COVID season and return to UNC for a fourth year after transferring from DuPage Junior College in 2019.
