On the day that the NCAA Men’s Basketball Committee released its initial tournament seed list, thereby signaling the pending arrival of Selection Sunday in three weeks, UNC scratched out its first sure-fire Q1 win against Virginia Tech in a hostile environment at Cassell Coliseum. That 65-57 win came three days after Carolina nearly burst its own bubble.
