In the days following the game, several former Duke players came to Chris Carrawell’s defense, most notably Gerald Henderson (2006-09). Former North Carolina star Wayne Ellington, who played high school ball with Henderson and whose college career coincided with the former Duke star, fired back at Henderson. “Sounds soft,” Ellington tweeted.
