This was North Carolina's first neutral-site win of the season (1-3). UNC allowed 43 points, fewest in an ACC Tournament game by a UNC opponent since Georgia Tech scored 39 in the 1982 ACC quarterfinal. Brady Manek out-scored Virginia, 19-13, in the first half.
