The officials made their presence felt by whistling Baylor for nine of the first 11 fouls in the second half to help UNC extend its lead to 25 points, then by whistling the Tar Heels for 10 of the next 11 fouls as the Bears clawed to single digits. Caleb Love fouled out shortly after Brady Manek was ejected, leaving UNC with three starters for the stretch run.
