This was the ninth time UNC has defeated a No. 1 seed. R.J. Davis is the first Tar Heel ever to have 10 or more assists in one NCAA Tournament game and 30 points in the next. Brady Manek scored 26 points (had 28 vs. Marquette). Other Tar Heels with at least 26 in consecutive NCAA games: Lennie Rosenbluth, Phil Ford, J.R. Reid, and Michael Jordan.
