UNC Baseball Drops Series Opener At Miami

Six Miami pitchers combined to strike out 17 North Carolina hitters and the Hurricanes took the series opener from the Diamond Heels, 8-5, at Mark Light Field on Friday. The Tar Heels outhit the Hurricanes 13-11 but left 13 men on base. Angel Zarate singled in his first at-bat to extend his on-base streak to 45 games and his hitting streak to 22 games.
