Baseball Series Opener Goes To Virginia Tech

Gavin Cross and Tanner Schobel hit back-to-back home runs in the first and fourth innings to lead Virginia Tech over No.18 North Carolina, 12-1, at Boshamer Stadium on Friday night. The Diamond Heels fall to 19-7 and 5-5 in the ACC, while the Hokies improved to 16-6 and 4-4 in the ACC. UNC ended its 21-game winning streak at Boshamer Stadium.
