Diamond Heels Fall To South Carolina In Charlotte

The Diamond Heels surrendered a season-high 15 runs and yielded 14 hits and fell to South Carolina, 15-2, at Truist Field on Wednesday night. With the loss, No. 22 North Carolina falls to 20-9, while the Gamecocks improved to 14-14. UNC's Johnny Castagnozzi belted his eighth home run of the season in the sixth to get the Tar Heels on the board.
