Former North Carolina quarterback Sam Howell slipped to the fifth round of the NFL Draft at No. 144 overall to Washington, a surprising fall considering his perceived stock following his junior season, according to ESPN analyst Mel Kiper Jr. "I’m surprised he went to the fifth round, I thought he’d be a third-rounder. There’s some things he’s got to fix."
