Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Zac Gallen vividly remembers one specific outing during his freshman year at UNC when he got knocked around hard thinking, "I need something" besides the fastball. Gallen spent the summer after his freshman year with the Chatham Anglers of the Cape Cod League working on finding a usable secondary pitch.
