Brian Cernoch Advances In NCAA Singles Championship

UNC's Brian Cernoch won his initial match in the NCAA Singles Championship on Monday afternoon, advancing to the round of 32 by beating Alexander Hoogmartens of UCLA, 6-1, 6-1. He advances to meet Jeffrey von der Schulenburg of Virginia on Tuesday. Cernoch and doubles partner Mac Kiger also begin play in the Doubles Championship on Tuesday. (GoHeels.com)
