New point guard recruit Dior Johnson top of the class for Pitt, Jeff Capel

Since taking over four years ago, Pitt men’s basketball coach Jeff Capel has been criticized for not landing top-ranked recruits. That may have all changed Monday with the commitment of four-star point guard Dior Johnson. Johnson is the 37th overall player by 247 Sports and is the highest ranked prospect to commit to the Panthers during Capel’s tenure.
