What is Title IX? An impactful law that’s often misunderstood


Title IX, the statute that helped spur a decades-long women’s sports boom, turns 50 years old Thursday. Roughly 87% of American adults say they’ve heard little or nothing about the watershed piece of civil rights legislation, according to a Pew Research Center survey. A similar Ipsos poll found that 71% of kids aged 12-17 know nothing about Title IX. (Yahoo! Sports)
