Back in 2020, former UNC star Antawn Jamison touched on what made Dean Smith a greater man than basketball coach. "It was more than about basketball. It was about life. It was about family. Coach Smith used to get on me more about, ‘Have you called your parents this week?’ than he did about me not being in the proper position defensively." (Talkbasket.net)
