North Carolina coach Butch Davis said he's not sure how much better his team really is than it showed in the too-close-for-comfort season opening win against McNeese State. But wide receiver Hakeem Nicks said there's no doubt the Tar Heels can do better Thursday against Rutgers. "I don't think we reached our max last week against McNeese, so we feel like we've got something to prove in this game." (ESPN.com)
