Tar Heels Eliminating Defensive Busts Through Simplification & Communication

UNC middle linebacker Cedric Gray told reporters in July that Gene Chizik’s intention is for his defenders to be great at five tasks, not merely okay at 50. Chizik and defensive backs coach Charlton Warren have preached about removing the gray from their unit since their arrival in January. A big part of that process has been in listening to the players.
