UNC Breaks Away from Florida A&M in Football Season Opener

The Tar Heels won 56-24 Saturday at Kenan Stadium, breaking away from the Rattlers of the FCS with 21 unanswered points in a promising starting debut for redshirt freshman QB Drake Maye, but nothing resembling a work of art from UNC’s revamped defense. Maye threw for 294 yards and 5 touchdowns. Four running backs got into the act, too.
