UNC Football Heads To The Mountains To Face App State - Pregame Notes
Posted Sep 3, 2022
UNC Football visits Appalachian State on Saturday in just the third meeting between the in-state schools and the first game in Boone. In 2019, the Mountaineers picked up a 34-31 win in Kenan Stadium. Mack Brown was the App State head coach in 1983. UNC receiver Josh Downs will miss the game after suffering an injury last week against Florida A&M.
