Rushing Woes Continue

North Carolina fully expected to improve on last season’s dismal ground game statistics with a veteran offensive line and a new stable of running backs. But in Saturday’s season opener, the rushing results looked eerily similar to those seen in 2007. “We didn’t execute the way that we needed to execute, and that’s the bottom line,” head coach Butch Davis told reporters during his Sunday evening teleconference.
