After studying the game film of Saturday's 35-27 survival against McNeese State, North Carolina coach Butch Davis reiterated Sunday what pretty much everyone knew: Without Brandon Tate's school-record 397 all-purpose yards, "We would have had a very difficult time winning the game" against the Football Championship Subdivision opponent.
