Former UNC RB Bobby Rome Becomes Head Football Coach At NAIA Florida Memorial

The Florida Memorial Lions are off to a 1-2 start under new head football coach Bobby Rome, who played 49 games for the Tar Heels from 2006-09. The last three years at UNC, Rome played for coach Butch Davis. Rome, 36, said his positive relationship with Davis and the fact that his mother is a native Floridian made the FMU job "intriguing" to him.
