Davis trying to quell lofty expectations

Butch Davis is about to kick off his second season with the Tar Heels. Eighteen starters will return for another run through the Atlantic Coast Conference, and expectations are high, just as they were during those second seasons in Miami and Cleveland. But Davis does not care. The Tar Heels finished only 4-8 overall last season and expectations, after all, are nothing more than expectations. (Rocky Mount Telegram)
