Top contender: North Carolina – Butch Davis knows how to beat the Hokies. He did it at Miami, where he won a national title. This might be the year his team again becomes Tech’s stiffest test. North Carolina has a veteran quarterback, a playmaking receiver and a young star in the making at tailback. If this team can play defense, it’ll be dangerous.
